Mr. Shipkevich is a principal of Shipkevich PLLC. His practice focuses on providing counsel to FinTech and financial services firms, including financial technology, payments and emerging digital currency space.
Mr. Shipkevich maintains an active practice focusing on providing legal and regulatory services in the payments, commodities, derivatives and foreign areas of law. His practice also includes enforcement defense litigation and regulatory investigations of money service business and commodities firms by federal and state authorities. He has represented money services business, commodities firms as well as FinTech companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, cross-border purchase and sale negotiations and agreements, and general money service business company arrangements.
Felix is regularly involved with both national and cross-border financial services regulatory issues including representing clients investigated by regulatory bodies such as the, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) , National Futures Association (NFA), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
Felix is a Special Professor of Law at Hofstra University School of Law. He is frequently quoted and published in Compliance Reporter, CoinDesk, e-Forex, and FX Week.
Felix was recently a director of the New York County Lawyers’ Association where he also chaired a Futures and Derivatives Committee. Felix is a graduate of Hofstra University School of Law.
